Ecclesia Children Ministries began its work in India in the later part of the 1990’s. The beginning of this ministry was in response to a call from the Lord to reach out to children among India’s rural communities.
ECM began by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and by teaching godly character values to children. ECM began working with local Christian believers, who hosted weekly group meetings with children. With the favor of the Lord, the weekly village programs were received with the parents’ consent and with approval of village leadership.
The local program provided security to children by having a gathering near to their homes and gave children the opportunity to develop relationships with other children from within their communities.
